Manturov said that Avtovaz will soon approve a new export program

/TASS/. Avtovaz is reviewing the program of export deliveries, it will be approved at one of the next meetings of the board of directors. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

“We are currently reviewing the AvtoVAZ export program as a whole, it should be approved at one of the next meetings of the board of directors. An export program will be adopted, from which it will be clear how the strategy will develop, in particular, in Egypt,” he explained. "Both by countries and by numbers. Based on the components and the domestic market," he said.

Earlier last week, the president of Avtovaz, Maxim Sokolov, said that the manufacturer expects exports to recover this year. He noted that, in particular, supplies to the countries of the Middle East are being discussed.

In December 2022, Manturov, in an interview with TASS, said that Avtovaz was considering entering the markets of the countries of the African continent.

At the end of 2022, the company's export deliveries amounted to 17.2 thousand cars (in total, cars were delivered to 17 countries). According to Sokolov, in 2023 the manufacturer plans to increase exports to 30,000 vehicles.
