Manturov: Trade turnover between Russia and India in 2022 increased by 2.5 times, exceeding $35 billion

The trade turnover between Russia and India last year increased by 2.5 times compared to 2021 and amounted to more than $35 billion, Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov told reporters in New Delhi.

"Commodity turnover between our countries increased by more than 2.5 times last year and exceeded $35 billion," he said.

"Basically, of course, this is due to the supply of our energy carriers and mineral fertilizers to India. Indian colleagues are also increasing the volume of supplies of their products," Manturov said.

Work is also underway to create comfortable conditions for mutual settlements in national currencies, the Deputy Prime Minister added.
