UN says it continues contacts to export Russian fertilizers

/TASS/. The UN maintains contacts in many areas to ensure the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. This was stated on Thursday at a briefing by the official representative of the Secretary General of the world organization Stefan Dujarric, answering a question about the explosion of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline.

“We continue our consultations with all parties. As you know, the head of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, Rebeca Greenspan, will meet with a Russian delegation on June 9 as part of our contacts to ensure the supply of Russian grain and fertilizers,” Dujarric said. “Our colleagues from the Joint The focal point also continue their discussions. The export of ammonia fertilizers is envisaged by the Black Sea Grain Initiative. We continue our efforts in many directions, as far as we can, given the importance of all this in solving the problem of world hunger and in order to ensure that world food prices do not rise."
